System Summer Camps!

Camp Checklist

“WHERE am I going?"

The camp is located at 10740 Refugee Rd SW, Pataskala OH 43062. For the privacy and safety of all, I do NOT publish this anywhere else. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE THIS WITH OTHERS. (We are still hiding from Nessie so help us out).

Our home, and training facility, are located 450 feet off the road, and we are 1/2 mile West of Rte 310, 5 minutes off I-70. We are located on the North side of the road.

Note to Commuters: Your arrival time is at least 1/2 hour before the start of the first session each day (9:30 at the latest except for check-in day)

Note to out of staters: We provide free shuttle service to and from the airport. Please coordinate your arrival times with the coach. Email me to make arrangements

Do This Now (requirement – thanks government overreach)

Copy of insurance card

  • Emergency Medical Release form filled out – bring with you or attach PDF in an email – be sure to point out any allergies
  • Any required medication while at camp. Medication needs to be sealed, with the athlete’s name on it, and include instructions.

You can email forms here

**If you attended a previous camp here this summer, and filled this out already, you do not need to fill it out again.

What To Bring (remember there are at least 10 sessions)

Workout Shirts: At a minimum, 1 per workout

Shorts:  Its good to have a couple shorts per day

Towels: 1 towel a day if showering (or you can borrow ours.)   You will Shower during the day.  If you bring your own towels, mark your name in them and take them home with you.  As you will see, we have plenty that have been donated to us through the years.

Wrestling Shoes

Running shoes (its likely that you will run outside at some point)

Headgear (recommended but not required)

Deodorant (Pah-Leeeeeze!)

Toothbrush (keep your mom and your orthodontist happy)

Swimming Trunks (in case you decide to swim in our pool – check rules below)

What NOT to bring

  • Cash. All meals are provided – if your athlete wants to buy an extra shirt or DVD, that is available when you come to pick him up.
  • Credit cards. See above.
  • Jewelry/expensive personal items. We cannot be responsible for personal/valuable items that you may lose/misplace/get stolen/break. Don’t bring them to camp.
  • Pets.  Leave snoopy at home.
  • Snacks are discouraged unless due to a medically documented condition. Athletes who do bring snacks, and make a mess, will get their snacks taken away from them. Again – all meals are provided, as well as snacks each night.

Important note about electronic devices

Campers may be limited in the amount of phone time they have.  They do not need their phones at camp, and at times will be away from them completely.

Sleeping Arrangements

We do not have a dorm here. Wrestlers will sleep on the mats or in sleeping bags. With this in mind, be sure you bring what you need to be comfortable: pillows, blankets, sleeping bags, air mattresses if you’d like. We do not provide linens so be sure to bring your own.

What to avoid

Snacks are discouraged unless due to a medically documented condition. Athletes who do bring snacks, and make a mess, will get their snacks taken away from them.
Showers required
No Parents on the mats. Parents are strongly urged to drop their athlete off the first day, and then see them at the last session.
Exceptions: Some parents choose to pick up dirty laundry, bring clean clothes, etc.

Note: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are provided at all camps, in addition to snacks at night. Your child will not starve here!

Swimming Pool Requirements

While at camp, you are welcome to swim in our pool, as long as you abide by the following rules:

Swimming trunks only
Swimming trunks that have not been worn during a wrestling session
All swimmers are required to shower prior to entering the pool

Abide by pool rules: No diving! Abide by all rules set by the owners.
